Textbook:	D. Halliday, R. Resnick, and J. Walker, "Fundamentals of Physics," 5^th Edition, Part 3-5 (John Wiley & Sons, Inc)1997.
Instructor:	F. H. Hsu, Room 454 Science Annex, Phone: 651-2856. Office hours: 1:00 - 2:00 PM MWF (or by appointment).
Laboratory:	LABORATORY ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED. Laboratory meetings are to be held in Room 210-SC. Laboratory materials are to be purchased at the Printshop, 6 Decatur Street.
Homework:	Six problems will be assigned for each chapter. Answers for four of them will be posted on the instrucor's web page(www.gsu.edu/~phyfhh/). The last two have to be handed in for every two chapters. Three out of four of the test problems will be similar to homework problems.
Test:	Three in-class tests are scheduled. A final examination will be given on Friday, May 5, 10:15 AM - 12:15 PM.
*NO MAKE-UP TEST OR FINAL WILL BE GIVEN!*
Grade:	A final grade will be determined on the following basis:
Homwork - 10% 3 Tests - 40% Final - 25% Lab - 25%
*(LETTER GRADE WILL BE CURVED)*
The last day to withdraw and possibly receive a "W" grade is April 7.
The papers of students involved in cheating will be given a zero grade.
Veteran Students:	special requirements of the Veterans Administration, students who are receiving V.A. benefits must maintain a record of attendance.
