Abstract:

We model the quarkonium potential using a particular effective potential whose form is suggested by lattice QCD calculations. The potential allows one to calculate dissociation and formation cross sections of quarkonia in the Quark-Gluon Plasma which in turn allows us to consider the suppression of their production in the plasma.
