Abstract:

Particles, especially high transverse momentum ($p_T$) particles, produced at forward rapidities often come from those collisions in which small Bjorken $x$ partons are involved. Thus the studies of forward particle productions provide very important information about nucleus structures at small $x$. At RHIC energy, the parton density in heavy nuclei increases very fast with decreasing $x$, parton saturation effects become important. A newly formed theoretic framework of parton saturation, Color Glass Condensate (CGC), has been very popular among the community in the past two years. In this talk, I will review the experimental results on forward particle productions in $d+Au$ from the PHENIX experiment in conjecture with CGC. At the same time, I will also review other theoretic progress in this front as well as results from other RHIC experiments.
