I discuss all possible ways matter can accrete on a black hole. I also
discuss the spectral signatures of the steady and non-steady flows and
their observational evidences. Lately, some satellite observations confirm
our views that accreting matter has two distinct components, one Keplerian
and the other sub-Keplerian. I discuss these developments as well.
