Welcome to the website of the Georgia State University's
chapter of Society of Physics Students. The Society of Physics Students
(SPS) is a professional association explicitly designed for students.
The Georgia State chapter is open to all students with a genuine
interest in science and/or physics.
GSU students receive many benefits from becoming an SPS member
such as:
- Eligibility to scholarships and internships from the SPS national office.
- Receive monthly scientific magazines of your choice.
- Participate in the SPS events.
- Serve as a tutor in the SPS Physics Tutoring Program
- Eligibility for nomination to Sigma Pi Sigma, the national honor society for physicists.
- Access to the SPS study room (includes 3 internet capable computers, microwave, refrigerator, lockers, 2 couches, desks, reference books, 2 white boards)
- Opportunity to work with other physics majors on key concepts.
- Opportunity to run for office.
