Sushant Mahajan, a 4th year Astronomy graduate student, has won the prize for best “young person” presentation at the 340th Symposium of the International Astronomical Union in Jaipur, India. Here, “young person” means graduate student or postdoc. This is the second time in eight months that Sushant won a prize for best presentation at an IAU symposium.
Mahajan’s thesis supervisor is Prof. Petrus C. Martens. Mahajhan will stay in Kolkata, India, for the rest of March. He is finishing work on a paper with collaborator Prof. Dibyendu Nandi while in India.
