AstroPal & PGSA
We have two organizations to assist incoming graduate students, one for physics students and the other for astronomy students. AstroPAL (Astronomy Peer Advising Leaders) and PGSA (Physics Graduate Student Association) both provide guidance and resources as the new graduate students get settled in their first years in the program.
Tuition & Fees
|Tuition is waved all incoming physics and astronomy graduate students. However, graduates students are required to pay fees and vary depending on which courses are taken in a given semester. Attending classes that require students to be on campus (e.g., lectures, labs) will make fees for the fall and spring semesters to be $1101.50, and $498.50 for the summer. Once graduate students are finished taking their courses and focus on research, fees will be reduced.||
The teaching requirements for physics graduate students are different than those to astronomy graduate students. See the Graduate Handbook for more details.
